Charity Gala Evening
We're delighted to announce that we'll be holding our first ever Charity Gala Evening on Saturday 15 October 2011 at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel in Hertfordshire. The evening will include a welcome drink, three-course dinner with wine and a fantastic programme of entertainment, including a raffle with some very special prizes, an auction, a quiz and live music courtesy of the rather wonderful Clive John, with original songs and covers from the world of rock, country, Irish and folk.
The fundraising event will begin at 7 for 7.30pm, with carriages at midnight. We've set up a special JustGiving page for the evening to help achieve our target of £5,000, and all donations are hugely welcome, even if you can't make the event itself.

Lilly's Charity Fun Day
A fundraising day of fun in aid of Headstart4Babies was held on Saturday 13 August 2011 at Trimley Sports & Social Club in Trimley St Martin, Suffolk. The fun started at 10am with a host of daytime activities, including a bouncy castle, zorbing and face painting. A five-a-side football tournament including several local teams preceded a sponsored waxing, and the day culminated with a disco and raffle.
The day and evening proved a fantastic success, with funds in excess of £5,500 being raised. The trustees extend their very grateful thanks to Lilly's parents Gavin and Lisa Meakings for organising such a wonderful event with the assistance of many people from the local community.
Cardiff 10K & Fun Run
In September, Louise Roberts and her friends and family will be donning their running vests and trainers to pound the streets of the Welsh capital to take part in the Cardiff 10K & Fun Run. All funds raised will be donated to Headstart to help fund families on low incomes to proceed with treatment for babies with plagiocephaly and brachycephaly. If you're in the area on 11 September why not pop along to cheer on Louise and her friends and family!
Peak challenge
In October, Jonathan Gill will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise funds for Headstart. Jonathan is training rigorously with British Military Fitness, who have very kindly donated a three-month membership voucher to help us raise additional funds at our Charity Gala Evening. We wish Jonathan every success in his climb to the summit, which he's undertaking between 9 and 21 October, and you can help him reach his target of £2,000 by sponsoring him via his JustGiving page.
