I only went and did it!
Well I only went and did it!
If the truth be told I was really worried that I wouldn't manage. My injured leg meant that training had ceased over five weeks ago and I had only managed a run of 18 miles before that! However, I ran a respectable 5 hours 33 minutes. Considering what's been going on I am over the moon, and I have a medal to boot!
I'm currently a little sore and am sure it'll hurt tomorrow. I've managed to raise nearly £1,000 for Headstart, and have been totally overwhelmed with the generosity of family, friends and strangers. That money will help a few families who need support.
I'm already thinking about the next challenge. There is a 60-mile walk I'm thinking about for next year, so watch this space!!!
